Place of birth: Luanda 

Club Team 2007-08: Primero de Agosto (Angola). 

Career: Petro Atletico Luanda (Angola-Men League, 2002-05 – Head Coach), Primero de Agosto (Angola-Men League, 2005-07 - Assistant), Primero de Agosto (Angola, 2008 – Head Coach). 

International career: Women Olympic Qualifying Tournament 1988 (Assistant), FIBA Africa Championship for Men 2003 (Assistant), Olympic Games 2004 (Men Team – Assistant), FIBA Africa Championship for Men 2005 (Assistant), FIBA World Championship for Men 2006 (Assistant) 

Raul Duarte has been appointed in January, after Anibal Moreira, who brought back a Bronze Medal from for the 2007 FIBA Africa Championship in Dakar, left his position as a coach of the Women club team of Primero de Agosto, to take over the Men’s team. 
Raul Duarte, who was at the time the assistant of the Men’s team in Primero de Agosto took over the Women Team. This season, Duarte regained the National Club Championship lost in 2006-07 against its old rival Inter-Clube. As a long time assistant of Mario Palma with the Men’s National Team, his experience of international competitions is very big.
