Career: Primero de Agosto (Angola, 2000-08)

Astrida Vicente is originally from Democratic Republic of Congo (former Zaïre). She entered Primero de Agosto in 2000, starting to become a pure nightmare for most African teams. Astrida is very dangerous because of her great ability to steal the ball. She had an amazing Bronze Medal game at the 2007 FIBA Africa Championship, compiling 20 points, 4 assists and 2 rebounds in just 26 minutes of playing time, giving the opportunity to Angola to catch the second African spot for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
