Career: Guantanamo (Cuba-D1, 2006-07).
Noblet Salazar has the potential to be a big contributor to Cuba's National Team this summer when they play at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Madrid. A player who has only just turned 20, she more than held her own against world champions Australia at the 2008 Beijing Basketball Test Event in the battle for third place. Noblet Salazar had eight rebounds against a scrappy Opals' team that prides itself more on getting the ball than scoring. Salazar, a 1.87m center, played in her first big tournament at last year's FIBA Americas Championship where she averaged 14 minutes per game.
