Career: Sancti Spiritus (Cuba-D1, 2006-08).
The future is now for Amargo Delgado, a player who at 22 years old looks set to receive big minutes in Madrid. All signs points to her being a big-time contributor to Cuba's National Team. She led her side in assists at better than three per game at last year's FIBA Americas Championship in Chile and also showed the ability to score a lot of points as she did when pouring in a game-high 16 in a victory over Canada. Amargo Delgado also made a grand entrance at the 2008 Beijing Basketball Test Event when scoring 20 on eight of 11 shooting from the floor, including three of four from behind the arc, in a tournament opening 75-71 win over New Zealand.
