Career: Velez Sarsfield (Argentina-Liga A., 2004-05), Velez Sarsfield (Argentina-Liga Nacional, 2006-08)
Sandra Pavon was one of the best Argentinian players at the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship in Chile, although her contributions to the team's success did not often show up in the box score. She did a little bit of everything, averaging 5.4 points, and just under three assists and rebounds. The point guard of Velez Sarsfield has a great mid-range jump shot. While she does not possess the speed of her club and Argentina international teammate Marina Cava, Pavon is a more accomplished passer. While only a substitute at the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Brazil, she has since earned a place in the starting five. In Argentina, Pavon is deemed to have a big future in the game.
