Her strong experience with two FIBA Africa Championships and an appearance at the 2006 FIBA World Championship will benefit the team. Salimata began the 2007-08 season with Desportivo Maputo of Mozambique on a two -week contract, time enough for her to win her first African Cup for Women Club before coming back to Romania club BC Icim Arad, where she had enjoyed a positive experience in 2005-06.
