Before coming back to Angola to prepare the 2007 FIBA Africa Championship with the National Team, Nassecela Mauricio had an amazing season with Badajoz, in the Spanish second division. There, she averaged 14.6 points, shooting 55.2% from the field and grabbing 10.0 rebounds. Behind her leadership, Badajoz reached the Final of Lega Feminina 2 and got promoted to the Spanish elite. After the FIBA Africa Championship played in September 2007, she decided to remain in Angola and be ready for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament. So she signed with Primero de Agosto and played there all year. Known as “Nacessela”, she is probably the best player in Angola.
