Zabala could really use a boost from Soria Baro when his team attempts to qualify for the Olympics. A veteran forward, Soria Baro certainly has the offensive tools to contribute, something she showed recently at the 2008 Beijing Basketball Test Event in the third-place game against Australia when pouring in 17 points, which included a trio of made three-balls. She does have her shortcomings, though, because in that four-point defeat to the Opals, the 1.84m player made just four of eight shots from the free-throw line – an area in which the Cubans must improve. At the FIBA's America Championship last year, she averaged 13 minutes on the court and in Chile, she connected on just three of 17 (17.6%) attempts from long range.
