Yuko Aizawa is making a comeback to the National Team after a long absence. The veteran has excellent dribbling and passing skills but can also beat teams with her scoring from behind the three-point arc or with drives into lane. Some point guards are called coaches on the floor. In the 34-year-old Yuko’s case, that is more than appropriate. She actually has coaching experience at university level. As a professional player, she competed in the WJBL (Japan’s division one). Coach Utsumi expects her to lead this squad, and to help the veterans in the team find chemistry with the youngsters.
