`Caro’ is the most experienced player of the National Team and also its primary weapon on offence. She missed 2007 FIBA Americas Championship in Chile for the same reason as Gisela Vega. The cost of an insurance policy for her to play was too high. At the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament, the team will benefit from her presence on the perimeter. During her career, she has been very impressive at the FIBA Americas Championships but has never produced similar performances at the FIBA World Championships (2002 and 2006). In China, she shot just 26% from the field while in Brazil in 2006, she made 30% of her attempts from the floor. Caro has played in Europe for several years now, most recently at Biurrarena in the Spanish second division.
